CHOOSING LOVE OVER JUDGMENT

By Bishop Mesrop Parsamyan

Our society is quick to judge. Just turn on the TV, scroll through social media, and you’ll see it everywhere—people tearing each other down, pointing fingers, casting blame. It’s almost like it’s become second nature to us. But that’s not the life God has called us to live.

God has called us to a higher standard. He’s called us to love, to build each other up, and to see the best in one another. That’s not always easy in a world where judgment is so prevalent, but it’s the path that leads to true peace, true joy, and true fulfillment.

The Bible says in Romans 14:12-13, “Each of us will give an account of ourselves to God. Therefore, let us stop passing judgment on one another.” Think about that for a moment. When we stand before God, He isn’t going to ask us about someone else’s mistakes. He’s going to ask us about our own hearts, our own actions, and most importantly, our own love. How did we treat others? Did we build them up, or did we tear them down?

Why do we then spend so much time and energy judging others? Why do we let that spirit of criticism take root in our hearts? It’s time to let go of that burden. It’s time to stop pointing fingers and start opening our hearts.

Every one of us has been given unique gifts, talents, and a divine purpose. When we judge others, we blind ourselves to their potential. We miss out on the opportunity to be a blessing in their lives. Instead of judging, let’s choose to see the best in each other. Let’s choose to believe in the goodness that God has placed in every heart.

So, let’s commit to stop passing judgment on one another. Let’s commit to love, to encourage, and to lift each other up. Let’s see the best in people, believe in their potential, and help them become all that God has created them to be.
