GRATITUDE

November 22, 2023

There’s a saying that if stars only appeared once a year, everyone would stay awake all night to admire their beauty. Indeed, we often overlook the stars due to their constant presence in our lives. Similarly, many blessings in our lives have become so routine that we fail to recognize them as unique.

Yet, if we pause and reflect on our lives, we’ll discover countless gifts and blessings for which we ought to be deeply grateful to God. It’s from the depths of our hearts that we should express our sincere thanks.

The power of gratitude is well-known to parents. When children continually ask for more without expressing appreciation for what they already have, a parent’s heart may grow heavy with sadness. In contrast, when a request is made with a genuine sense of thankfulness, the parent’s heart is filled with joy, and their generosity knows no bounds.

Therefore, let us cherish and appreciate the blessings in our lives. Let us continually “give thanks to God the Father at all times and for everything in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.” (Ephesians 5:20)
