HEAVEN IS CHEERING YOU ON

When I was a kid, I practiced judo for seven years. I loved everything about it—the techniques, the discipline, the competitions. There was something special about stepping onto that mat, facing an opponent, and giving it my all. But what made it even more extraordinary was looking over to the sidelines and seeing my mom, my dad, and my brother watching. Just knowing they were there gave me a boost. It didn’t matter how tired I was or how tough my opponent seemed—their presence gave me strength I didn’t even know I had.

In our spiritual life, we have a cheering section, too. The Bible says in Hebrews 12:1, “We are surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses.” That means we’re not running this race alone. Heaven itself is watching over us, cheering us on, saying, “You can do it! Keep going! Don’t give up!”

Think about that for a moment. Every time you face a challenge, every time life tries to knock you down, there’s a crowd in heaven shouting your name. Saints who’ve gone before you. Angels assigned to protect you. Your ancestors who are prying for you. And yes, your Heavenly Father, who loves you more than you can imagine. They’re not just spectators—they’re participants in your journey, pulling for you, encouraging you, ready to see you cross the finish line in victory.

Sometimes it feels like you’re wrestling with an opponent who’s stronger, faster, more experienced. But the One who is for you is greater than anything that’s against you. When you hear the roar of doubt, remember, heaven is roaring louder with faith. When you feel weak, the Spirit of God is whispering, “You are strong!” When the enemy says, “You can’t win this fight,” heaven declares, “You’re more than a conqueror!” (Romans 8:37).

So, when you feel weary, remember that great cloud of witnesses. Imagine heaven erupting in applause every time you take a step of faith, every time you choose hope over despair, every time you get back up after a fall. God isn’t just on the sidelines—He’s in your corner, lifting you up, coaching you, strengthening you. He’s your greatest fan, and He’s saying to you, “I see you. I see your fight. I see your faithfulness. And I’ve got the victory already prepared for you.”
