MAKE ROOM FOR THE MIRACLE

By Bishop Mesrop Parsamyan

“She gave birth to her firstborn son; and she wrapped Him in cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.” (Luke 2:7). The Son of God, the Savior of the world, was about to enter history. The long-awaited Messiah was arriving, and yet, when Mary and Joseph knocked on the innkeeper’s door, the answer was, “No room.”

But that “no” didn’t stop God’s plan. That innkeeper’s refusal didn’t stop Jesus from being born. God’s purposes are going to be fulfilled whether we participate or not. Yet the innkeeper missed out on the greatest blessing of his life. He missed the privilege of housing the Son of God.

Can you imagine what it would have been like if the innkeeper had said, “You know what? It’s crowded. It’s busy. But I’m going to rearrange some things. I’m going to make room.” What a legacy he would have had! Here’s the truth: when we don’t make room for Jesus in our lives, we don’t hurt God. We hurt ourselves. We miss out on the joy, the peace, and the love that comes when we let Him in.

Lord Jesus says in Revelation 3:20, “Listen! I am standing at the door, knocking; if you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in and eat with you, and you with me.” God is knocking on the door of our hearts. He wants to bring us hope in the middle of our struggle, strength when we feel weak, and favor that opens doors we never imagined. But for Him to do that, we have to make room.

So often, our lives are like that overcrowded inn. We’re so busy with our schedules, our goals, our to-do lists, that when Jesus shows up, we say, “I’m sorry, Lord. There’s just no room right now.” Friends, don’t let busyness crowd out your blessing. Don’t let distractions keep you from the miracle.

Let’s open the door and say, “Lord, there’s plenty of room here. Come in and have Your way.” When you make room for Jesus, He doesn’t just show up; He transforms the space He’s given. When you make room for Christ, He brings peace to your chaos. Friends, make room for the miracle, and you’ll be amazed at what God will do!
