NEVER FORGOTTEN

By Bishop Mesrop Parsamyan

The love of a mother is one of the strongest, most enduring loves we know in human experience. A mother’s love is instinctual, unconditional, and fierce. Yet, God says even if a mother could forget her nursing child, He will never forget us: “Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should have no compassion on the child of her womb? Even these may forget, yet I will not forget you,” says the Lord” (Isaiah 49:15). This is the unfailing love of God!

We all have those moments of loneliness when we think the world has forgotten us. Maybe you’re facing challenges at work, struggling in a relationship, or battling loneliness. Sometimes, it feels like everyone else has someone looking out for them, and we’re walking through this world alone. Maybe you’re there now, feeling like you’ve been left in the shadows.

But here’s the truth—God has not forgotten you. You are always on His mind. God’s memory is perfect. He doesn’t forget you. Not ever. His attention is meticulous and loving. He knows your ups and downs, your beginnings and your ends. And He holds you close in His mighty and compassionate arms.

In those moments when you feel lost and invisible, when you feel like you are just another face in the crowd, remember God’s promise. Trust in the God who is more reliable than even the most loving mother on earth.

As you go about your day, take a moment to acknowledge His presence. Talk to Him, thank Him for His never-ending remembrance of you, and maybe find ways to remind others that they, too, are remembered and loved by Him.

In God’s loving embrace, we find the ultimate assurance that we are never alone, we are never forgotten. God’s memory of us is as enduring as His presence is eternal. What a wonderful assurance that is!
