ST. JOHN SUNDAY SCHOOL FAMILIES CELEBRATE A DAY OF FAITH AND FELLOWSHIP
October 11, 2025

Milwaukee, WI – On Saturday, October 11, 2025, the Sunday School students and parents of St. John Armenian Church of Milwaukee embarked on a joyful and enriching day trip filled with discovery, learning, and spiritual reflection.
The day began at the Honey Acres Chocolate Factory and Honey Museum, where students had the opportunity to explore God’s marvelous creation — the honeybee. Through hands-on exhibits, tastings, and interactive learning, the children discovered how bees produce honey and why they play such a vital role in the natural world. Laughter and curiosity filled the air as the group enjoyed sweet treats and time outdoors, playing games on the beautiful Honey Acres farm.
Following this lively and educational morning, the group traveled to the Holy Hill Basilica, a sacred landmark nestled among Wisconsin’s rolling hills. After sharing a meal together on the serene Basilica grounds, families toured the awe-inspiring church, took in the sacred art and stunning architecture, and spent quiet moments in prayer and reflection.
Before concluding their visit, families explored the Holy Hill Market and Holy Hill Art Market, enjoying the creativity and craftsmanship on display — a fitting end to a day centered around the beauty of creation, community, and faith.
“It was a day where joy, learning, and faith came together so naturally,” observed Fr. Guregh Hambarzumyan, church pastor. “Our children not only had fun but also experienced God’s presence in nature, in sacred spaces, and in one another.”
This special outing offered a meaningful opportunity for students and families to grow closer to God and to each other — a true blessing for the St. John Armenian Church community.
