THE FAITHFULNESS OF GOD

By Bishop Mesrop Parsamyan

I was just fourteen years old when I first stood on the altar of St. Sarkis Church in Yerevan, wearing a robe that felt too big for my shoulders but a heart that burned with a calling I didn’t yet fully understand. I remember the scent of the incense, the flickering candlelight, and the way my voice trembled as I joined in the hymns. In those moments, I had no idea where God would take me.

Years have passed since that day. Life has taken me across continents, through trials and triumphs, through moments of doubt and seasons of great faith. And now, I find myself back in that same sacred space—not as the young altar boy, but as a bishop—I kneel once more before the same altar and worship the same faithful God.

Friends, life has a way of coming full circle. The prayers you whispered as a child, the dreams you carried in your heart, the quiet moments of surrender—they are never forgotten by God. He sees the seeds of faith you plant, and in due time, He brings them to harvest. The place of your beginnings can become the place of your greatest blessings.

When I stepped into St. Sarkis Church again, I wasn’t just stepping into a building. I was stepping into a testimony of God’s faithfulness. What He started in me as a young boy, He carried through to this moment. And I believe He is doing the same in your life.

Maybe you’ve been waiting, praying, wondering if God has forgotten the dreams He placed in your heart. Let me remind you, “Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” —Philippians 1:6

God is always faithful. The prayers you prayed years ago? They are still before His throne. The faith you held onto in the hard times? He saw it, and He is working all things for your good. And one day, you will stand in the very place where your journey began and see how far God has brought you. And in that moment, you will know: He was with you all along.
