THE MASTER KEY

By Bishop Mesrop Parsamyan

St. Vartan Armenian Cathedral & Diocesan Center in NY City.

St. Vartan Armenian Cathedral & Diocesan Center in NY City.

At our diocesan center, we have many keys for all the entrance doors. Each key is designed to fit a specific door. If you don’t have the right key, you won’t be able to open that door and gain access. But when I was elected as your bishop, I was given the master key that opened them all. This master key is unique—it can unlock any door in our center, no matter how complex the lock.

Life is filled with difficult doors of decisions and circumstances, and each one requires a different key. We all face situations that seem impossible to unlock. Whether it’s a challenging relationship, a financial hurdle, or a health issue, it feels like we’re standing in front of a door with no way in.

But just like that master key can open any door in our diocesan center, Godly wisdom is like having the master key that can unlock any complicated problem in our lives. God is the only one who owns the master key and promises to loan it to anyone who asks Him. James 1:5 tells us, “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.”

Godly wisdom isn’t just about knowing what to do; it’s about having the insight to see things from God’s perspective. It’s about understanding His timing and His methods. When you have God’s wisdom, you have the confidence to move forward, knowing that He is guiding your steps.

No matter what door you’re standing in front of, no matter how complicated the lock seems, God has the master key. And He’s more than willing to share it with you. Let’s trust that He knows the way through every door and that His guidance will lead us to places we could never reach on our own.

So, the next time you face a tough decision or a challenging situation, don’t rely on your own set of keys. Reach out for the master key that God is offering. He’s promised to give it to you liberally and without reproach. All you have to do is ask.
