THE TRILOGY OF GRACE

By Bishop Mesrop Parsamyan

Trilogies capture our imagination. Whether it’s “The Lord of the Rings,” “The Godfather,” or “Back to the Future,” there’s something special about a story that unfolds in parts. Each chapter pulls us deeper into the narrative, revealing more about the characters, their struggles, and their triumphs. By the end, we’re not just watching a story—we’re part of it.

Did you know Jesus gave us a trilogy of His own? It’s found in Luke 15, where He tells three parables: the story of the lost sheep, the lost coin, and the lost son. It’s a masterpiece of storytelling, and each part adds another layer to the heart of God’s love. This isn’t just entertainment; it’s the very essence of who God is. He’s showing us how far He’ll go to bring us back when we’re lost.

Whether you’ve wandered like the lost sheep, pulled off course by life’s distractions, felt stuck like the lost coin, unsure how you got where you are, or walked away like the prodigal son, thinking life would be better on your own, the message is the same: God’s love is relentless. He is the Good Shepherd searching hills, the patient seeker lighting lamps, and the loving Father running to embrace you.

And here’s my favorite part: every story ends in celebration. When the sheep is found, the shepherd throws a party. When the coin is recovered, the woman rejoices with her friends. And when the son comes home, the Father throws the biggest celebration of all. That’s the heart of God. Heaven still celebrates. God is still in the business of seeking and saving.

Friends, maybe today, you feel lost in some way. Perhaps it’s the busyness of life pulling you away. Maybe you’re stuck in a place you don’t recognize. Or maybe you’ve walked away, thinking you could do life better on your own. Whatever it is, God’s love is coming for you. He’s the Good Shepherd searching the hills. He’s the patient seeker lighting the lamps. He’s the loving Father running to embrace you. You are worth saving.

So, let’s rejoice in this trilogy of grace. Let’s celebrate a God who never stops seeking, never stops saving, and never stops loving. You are part of His masterpiece, and He’s writing your story with the pen of redemption.
