WALKING IN HIS STEPS

By Bishop Mesrop Parsamyan

One chilly evening, a father decided to take a walk to a nearby church. A few moments later, he heard the sound of small footsteps. He turned around, and there was his little boy, following him. The father asked, “How did you find out where I was?” The boy, with a bright smile, answered, “I just followed your steps in the snow.”

Over 2,000 years ago, our Lord Jesus Christ walked on this earth, and His steps left a trail that has changed the world forever. He walked through deserts and hillsides, through crowded cities and quiet gardens, and every step He took was a step of love, compassion, and obedience to God’s will. He showed us how to love the unlovable, how to forgive the unforgivable, and how to reach out to those who are hurting and lost.

And here we are, thousands of years later, billions of people still walking in His steps. The winds of doubt, the storms of persecution, the floods of unbelief—none of these could wash away the path He created. Those footsteps are as clear today as they were all those years ago.

Every day, we decide which direction we’re going to walk. We can choose to follow the crowd, to go with the flow, to chase after things that won’t last. Or we can choose to follow the steps of Jesus, to walk in His love, His grace, and His truth. It’s not always the easiest path, but it’s always the best path.

Proverbs 3:6 tells us, “In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” When we choose to follow Jesus, to acknowledge Him in everything we do, our paths will be clear, and our steps will be steady.

Friends, when we follow in the footsteps of Jesus, we also lead others to Him. Our lives become testimonies of His love, our actions reflect His grace, and our words carry His truth. So, let’s walk in His steps to leave our own trail of hope and love for others to follow. Be careful of your steps. You will not be the only one to walk in them.
