3RD COOKING CLASS WITH JUSTIN

Milwaukee, WI- On Saturday, May 4, 2024 St. John’s Church enjoyed another culinary class with Justin Aprahamian, Owner of Sanford’s Restaurant in downtown Milwaukee and winner of the esteemed James Beard Award.  Justin demonstrated the preparation of Aged Cheddar Cheese Beoreg and Apricot/Fennel Salad.  His presentation was full of useful kitchen tips, entertaining humor, and the process of making the above two dishes which resulted in a delectable complexity of flavors.  Many in the class had prepared beoreg countless times in their lives but his recipe produced a delicious variation unlike anyone had ever tasted.  The Fennel Salad was a culinary treat with layers of wonderful flavors.  As always, the reviews were outstanding.  There were many repeat students as well as newcomers in the group.

Ani Saryan remarked that she considers herself a “Foodie” having won several awards for her entries at the Wisconsin State Fair. She enjoyed talk about food that she grew up with and that made the class even more special.  She learned many new tips, different variations on old recipes, and the presentation of beoreg with a different physical appearance.

Susan O’Sullivan observed that the class was just fabulous! She enjoyed learning from a top-notch chef who imparted his vast knowledge to our group and humbly answered our many questions.  She looks forward to the next class by Justin.
