MILWAUKEE ARMENIANS OBSERVE CULTURAL MONTH

Hrair Hawk Khatcherian devoted most of his presentation as part of the Armenian Cultural Month observance at St. John to his latest book, Khatchkar. Beautifully produced and photographed, the 500-page coffee table book is an impressive document of Armenian religious stone carvings.

The month of October is known as “The Cultural Month” for Armenians throughout the world. It is during this month that Armenian churches, organizations and people commemorate the memory of the Holy Translators who created the Golden Age of Armenian Literature in the fifth century.

Milwaukee Armenians Celebrate Armenia’s Independence Day

A special observance of the 30th Anniversary of Armenia’s independence Day took place, on Sunday, September 26, at the Milwaukee Armenian Community & Cultural Center in Greenfield, WI.

Armenian Dance Group for the youth in Milwaukee

The Milwaukee Armenian Cultural Committee is happy to announce that the first dance rehearsal will begin on Sunday, October 10, @ 3pm, under the direction of Mr. Hrachya Kostanyan of Hamazkayin Sartarabad Dance Ensemble of Chicago.
The rehearsal will take place at Milwaukee Armenian Community Center in Greenfield, WI. For more information kindly contact the church office.

Armenian Fest Returns to Milwaukee

On July 18, over one thousand visitors crowded onto the grounds of St. John the Baptist Armenian Church in suburban Greenfield for the return of Milwaukee Armenian Fest. The annual festival was cancelled last year from COVID-19

Newly Ordained Priest Begins his Ministry in Milwaukee
