Armenian Dance Group for the youth in Milwaukee

Plans are underway for the Milwaukee Armenian Cultural Committee in cooperation with Hamazkayin Cultural and Educational Society of Chicago, to reestablish the Armenian dance group of the 1980s in Milwaukee. The Milwaukee troupe will meet once a month to rehears in our Cultural Hall under the guidance of Hamazkayin’s  choreographer Mr. Hrachya Kostanyan.

To start the project this fall we need a minimum of 10 boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 18. Once ready, the Milwaukee group will have the opportunity to participate with the Chicago Hamazkayin Sardarabad Dance Ensemble performances in the Midwest area.

Kindly reach out to our pastor at St. John’s through our website, if you would like your child or teenager to join the group in the Milwaukee area.

In 2016, the Sardarabad Dance Ensemble put on a spectacular performance at South Milwaukee Performing Arts Center, with 85 dancers and audiance of 300 in attendance. Since then Sardarabad has been bringing the Armenian Culture to Milwaukee Armenian Fest through their performances, annually.
